Large-format gravel, built to stay fast.
The new Routt is our large-format gravel bike, designed around a 50mm tire with clearance from 45mm to 57mm. It’s made for fast gravel that doesn’t always stay smooth. The larger tire format lets you run lower pressures for more grip and control over broken surfaces, helping the bike carry speed and stay composed when things get rough. At the same time, the Routt keeps the quick, direct feel that has always made it a gravel bike first.
From a light race build to a wide-range mullet setup, the Routt can be built toward different ends of gravel without becoming overly specialized. A 3D-printed chainstay yoke creates room for the bigger tire format and up to a 48T 1x chainring, while a redesigned Moots carbon fork brings fully integrated brake routing through our Ti stem. In-house machined UDH dropouts round out a platform built for current gravel drivetrains and the roads they’re being ridden on.

When we introduced the Routt in 2013, gravel bikes were still largely an evolution of cyclocross bikes. We took what we had learned from the Moots Psychlo-X and built something specifically for the dirt roads we wanted to ride.
More than a decade later, gravel has changed again. Tires are bigger, courses are rougher, and riders are faster. The new Routt is built for that progression.
The idea behind the Routt hasn’t changed. The places it can take you have.
More tire means more speed when the surface gets rough. Lower pressures help the tire track broken ground, hold grip, and stay composed instead of getting bounced off line.
The Routt is designed around a 50mm tire to bring that speed and control to rough gravel without giving up the quick, direct feel of the bike.
Creates room for up to a 57mm tire while maintaining clearance for up to a 48T 1x chainring. The compact yoke gives us the space needed around the tire and drivetrain without adding unnecessary bulk to the rear triangle.
A new D-shaped steerer allows fully integrated brake routing through our Moots Ti stem. The redesigned fork cleans up the front end while keeping the cockpit simple.
The new UDH dropouts are machined in-house at our Steamboat factory. They bring the Routt onto the current derailleur standard while keeping the dropout design and manufacturing in our hands.
The new Routt works with traditional gravel drivetrains or wide-range mullet setups, giving riders more gearing range and more flexibility in how they build the bike.
Three bottle positions give the Routt plenty of capacity for longer rides, with two inside the front triangle and a third under the downtube. Top-tube mounts make it easy to add a bento bag for food, tools, or anything you want close at hand.
The Routt is purpose-built around modern 1x gravel drivetrains, with clearance for up to a 48T chainring. Go with a tighter-range XPLR setup for speed or a 10–52 mullet drivetrain when you want more gear for steep, rough terrain.
Brake routing runs internally through our Moots Ti stem and carbon gravel fork for a clean front end. The system keeps a separate bar and stem rather than locking the bike into a one-piece cockpit.
A BSA 68 threaded bottom bracket keeps the Routt simple to service and easy to live with. It’s a proven standard with plenty of component options and no proprietary system to work around.
Fender mounts come standard, with optional upper rack mounts available for riders who want to add carrying capacity. The Routt can stay stripped down and fast or take on a little more when the ride calls for it.
Every Routt is built in our Steamboat Springs, Colorado factory. From in-house machining to welding and finishing, the frame is made by the same people who have been building Moots titanium bikes here for decades.
