Over the weekend there was a little hand built bicycle show out in Sacramento, California. We did not officially show our bikes this time around, but if you looked a bit, you might have found a few being featured in others booths. First look is at this beauty that came by way of stand out Moots dealer Studio Velo in Mill Valley, California. Working with the legends from Black Magic Paint, they came up with this combination of colors for this stunning Routt RSL. Full build spec:
Frame: Moots Routt RSL
Fork: Moots gravel/cx full carbon
Bearing duties: Chris King; head set, hub set and head set spacers
Cockpit: Enve post, bar & stem
Group: Sram Red AXS Etap
Wheels: Zipp 303 clinchers wrapped in Vittoria Terreno Dry 700 x 40 tubeless
The bike was a project bike for Taylor of Studio Velo in Mill Valley, California. He wrote about this build:
“The paint job on this bike is stunning, and all the credit goes to Black Magic: Rudi designed and painted it to a mind-bending standard of complexity and art. It is another great collaboration between Studio Velo, Moots, Black Magic and Chris King. Adding SRAM and Zipp to this one raises the bar on the complete package to a new level.”
We will get to see this bike in action in less than a month as we partner with Studio Velo for an organized #ridetoseaotter The ride of 2 days, 200 miles and 19,000 feet of climbing from Mill Valley to Monterey will be one to remember. Pavement, gravel, dirt two track and remote areas will be the perfect route for the Routt RSL. Once at Sea Otter you will be able to come to the Moots set up and see this bike in person. Don’t miss it!
