Back to our normal programing…..Our Weekend update resumes and finds us encountering a Colorado spring…..warmer temperatures, rising rivers, dry dirt roads and trips west to find open single track. A cast of characters makes up the whole here at Moots….these are just some of them:

Los Alfords took advantage of the early season nice weather and hiked into the confluence of the Yampa and Green Rivers deep in the heart of Dinosaur National Monument, and we had the place all to ourselves! That’s what 13 miles of rough dirt road and April in Colorado will do for ya
Corey Piscopo——North American Sales Director
A small crew headed to Fruita/Moab for some weekend riding. Blake, Jeremiah, Corey, Merry, Kelsey, and Paul Ness joined up with Nic from Aloha Cyclery to ride under the warm desert sun. Most were on Moots hardtails (Farwell, MXRSL) with tires running from 27.5 + to 29. Also of note – 8 pizzas were consumer at Hot Tomato in Fruita.

Spring is here! This was the last week that the ski area was open in Steamboat Springs. Finn has got the season switch down. He insisted that we start riding to school in the morning. By the end of the week he did the 4.5 mile ride solo! I’m so proud that he is learning to maximize each season and sport.

Spring is hitting Steamboat in full stride with bluebird skies, perfect temps, and trails drying up from the snow melt. Before the heat really hits, I took the chance to zip a few short hours west to Vernal, UT to take in some of the best camping and riding weather the Uintah high desert has to offer. We managed to sneak in a wonderful, crowd-free weekend of riding, off-roading, and top-notch gourmet campfire cooking. Unfortunately, despite all the dinosaur signs, décor, fossils, and statutes, none were actually seen out in the wild.
