When was the last time you saw a handmade titanium bike ridden to an elite podium in a major US Cyclocross event? Well, before yesterday it had been a really long time. Â Maybe back to the Marc Gullickson era and that was a mass produced Sandvik Mongoose. Never the less, back to yesterday…..

The Alpha Bicycle Company Groove Subaru has been putting in the hard work of organizing travel, equipment and training for the development team over the past several years. Â That hard work by athletes and the manager Adam Rachubinski is really starting to show and yesterday landed Gage Hecht onto an elite podium in 2nd place at the Cincy CX weekend. Â Building on Saturdays hard work and solid 4th place, Gage went onto making the lead break on Sunday and then rode with Stephen Hyde into the last lap alone. Â There Gage would follow the wheel and even give it a go, finally conceeding 26 seconds at the line for a beautiful 2nd place.
Here at Moots our heart rate went through the roof just reading the race re-count on the internet. We could not be more proud to build bikes right here in Steamboat Springs that take our athletes to amazing highs dualing with the best in the business. We feel the durability, ride quality and attention to detail make all the difference in the world. HUP! HUP! HUP!
