For as long as we have been producing frames the goal has been to do the best we can possibly achieve in each step. From materials we source to how we turn them into dream bikes for our customers, to how we produce in the most eco-friendly setting possible, our philosophies run parallel to our friends at Chris King.
Along the way we have also strived to spec the best parts you can hang on a bike. That is where Chris King Components come into the picture. Chris King, founded in 1976 believes in many of the same philosophies we do. Source the best materials, develop solid designs, let many of the passing fads do just that….pass. Build products you can stand behind for years to come.
During our years of frame fabrication there has been only one brand of headset to grace our photo bikes, show bikes and inventory parts shelves. Along with that were the much sought after hubs and then, finally came the hint that a bottom bracket was on the way. Back when spindles were square tapered or ISIS (the other ISIS) was pushing to become a standard, we heard King was working their magic on one of the most abused components on a bike. They refined, tested, refined some more and finally they released their outboard bearing bottom bracket. No wine before it’s time right?
Chris King is also very eco-friendly in their manufacturing, recycling waste, building an eco-thoughtful facility and in the end, making products that last. When building bike frames or bike components there is a ton of energy used in the process, so why not build the end product to last and also be serviceable? Very similar to Moots.

Chris King just held an open house at their facility and also released a Chris King Limited Edition Color; PUNCH. They asked us to come along for the ride and we obliged with a new build for our standout dealer in Portland; CYCLE PATH PDX. The owner of the shop had a project build in mind based on a ROUTT 45 for himself. The end result is a beautiful understated build with pops of PUNCH. It’s a stunning machine. We think you might agree.
