Dear Moots,
I just want to write to let you know how thrilled I am with the Moots CR custom bicycle I ordered last spring through Adrenaline Bikes of Orange, California.
The bike fits me perfectly (photo attached) and is incredibly comfortable for the types of ultra-marathon cycling events I purchased it for.
I just did the Furnace Creek 508 (shortened to 353 miles because of the National Parks closure) on my new Moots, and it was a dream. I had no neck, shoulder, hand or wrist pain and was able to ride comfortably for 29 hours, 11 minutes on the handful of 5-minute breaks my crew allowed me to take.
Perhaps the most telling compliment? My crew chief/coach, two-time RAAM soloist Peter Oyler, told my husband, “If Vaune tries to change anything about that bike, cut off her hands.”
I’ll be putting my Moots to an ever bigger test next June, when I try to establish the record as the oldest female finisher of the 860-mile Race Across the West, from Oceanside California to Durango Colorado in under 90 hours.
