The big week is almost here. SBT GRVL week that is! We are excited to have the cycling community descend on Steamboat and we’ve got a slew of activities planned around the big event. Take note of the schedule above and plan to attend them all!
FRIDAY AUGUST 18th: 9am-12pm MOOTS OPEN HOUSE. For those that don’t want to ride the shakedown rides you can hang at Moots and take a tour of this once in a lifetime opportunity to tour our facility and see how we build our bikes, how we approach materials and design. Snacks and cold drinks provided.
FRIDAY AUGUST 18th: 9am—-MOOTS SHAKEDOWN RIDES! We have two distance options plotted our for you;
1) AIRPORT PLUS LOOP: This is a long standing Moots lunch ride staple. Just under 20 miles, about 1K feet of climbing and a 65/35 mix of gravel/pavement. Easy on the legs and a perfect way to get your altitude lungs going. Download the route below:
MOOTS + SBT GRVL SHAKEDOWN RIDE AIRPORT PLUS
2) SLEEPING GIANT LOOP: This loop will give you a taste of the opening miles of the Black, Blue and Red courses. At just under 40 miles and 2,600 feet of climbing this loop will challenge you with FLY GULCH, SALT CREEK, DEEP CREEK and the MYSTIC descent. This route is 99% gravel/dirt roads with only the first mile from the shop being pavement. Download the route below:

FRIDAY AUGUST 18th: 12-5pm MOOTS IN THE EXPO. Moots will be right in the mix during the SBT GRVL EXPO. Find us out front of Orange Peel Bicycle Service at 11th & Yampa Street. We will have our full line of gravel bikes on display as well as a MOOTS POP-UP store open. In the store we will have our latest Moots branded items from T-shirts to titanium water bottle cages to hats. Don’t miss this!

SUNDAY AUGUST 19th: 9am-5pm MOOTS HOSPITALITY TENT. As you finish off your race we will be waiting for you just beyond the finish line. Cold drinks at the ready, high-fives, and a shady spot to sit. Bring that dirty, dusty, hard ridden Moots for an “after” photo in our Moots photo booth! A great way to finish off a stellar week!
MONDAY AUGUST 20th: 10am MOOTS FACTORY TOUR. We open our doors (if you’re not too tired at this point) for our standing Monday factory tour. We start at 10am sharp, don’t be late!
