This past weekend several hundred racers took to the line at the CRUSHER IN THE TUSHAR in south central Utah. 70 miles, 10,000 feet of climbing, on mostly gravel Forest Service roads. This event is the baby of hard man Burke Swindlehurst, ex-pro road racer, slight mad-man.
One of the riders to take the line was Michael Burleigh from the front range of Colorado. He was also the winner of our frame give-away at the Steamboat Stage Race. He put that new Psychlo X RSL to good work. The bike that really could rule them all. Read his account of the day below:
“Hey Corey, Thanks! I’ll admit I’m really proud of my ride there – I flatted out of the front group at the base of the big climb, but I was able to get it pumped up and sealed at an aid station and then clawed my way though the carnage and back up to Todd Wells on the climb, then eventually pipped him at the line for 2nd. Even without the flat I don’t think I would have beat Robbie Squire, so I think I was able to completely overcome the flat. The bike was exceptional in that race. Lots of cool and different set ups there but no way would I have traded with anyone. I got lots of compliments on it.”
