Back in 1981 the first Moots was built. It was a steel road bike as that was the material of choice during that era and mountain bikes were barely known. 35 years later we are still at it, building out of titanium since 1991. 35 years in the hand made bicycle world….think about that. Not many can claim that many years in any kind of industry, let alone the bicycle industry. We have always been based in Steamboat Springs, Colorado and the location plays a huge part in our heritage. Riding, testing and building bikes that suit all types of riders in all sizes right here in Steamboat the entire time. This is a special feat to be around this long. It’s a testament to our work ethtic and sensible designs that have followed Moots through this 35 year run.
THE BIKE
To commemorate our 35th year building bikes we are releasing a Limited Edition Anniversary Vamoots RSL. The Moots Vamoots RSL frame and tapered Moots carbon fork embody the most current technology and craftsmanship to build a stiff, light and durable package all wrapped in a Colorado themed paint by Spectrum Powder Works. Enve 4.5 rims, classic Chris King silver hubs, headset and matching bottom bracket ensure you will roll smooth for years to come. The Moots stem faceplate, seat collar and seat post bits are buffed to a matching silver chrome and also show hints of our new etched finish for a modern twist. A hand wrapped leather Fizik saddle and matching perforated bar tape bring touches of class from the early 80’s. Add in the Shimano Di2 technology and you have a machine that performs as good as it looks.

We are producing only 50 of them. Each will be serial numbered as such and once they are gone, they are gone. Choose from 9 stock sizes or custom.

We will begin to take orders March 1st, 2016 through our authorized Moots dealers. There will be two options to order the 35th Anniversary Limited Edition.
