Most of my stories or good memories are about bikes and where they have taken me. I got to ride my bike to school when I was in elementary school and that was freedom for me, not to have to ride the bus. My first mountain bike was an iron horse at-50, next was a Nishiki Colorado and then a Cannondale m1000. That was my first year of racing and working at a bike shop. Since the age of 15 I have been on a bike whether it has been mountain, road, and commuting, urban trials. My love of all things mechanical and the ability to take them apart and put them back together is from my father who was a auto mechanic for 41 years and owned his own garage. So I started with cars and moved to bikes (still love to work on cars as well). My college degree could not be farther away from the bicycle world, but I still can’t let go of my freedom. Biking brought me out to Colorado and gave me a path to a position that lets me learn more about bikes and keeps me busy. Bikes have brought me to where I am now; I don’t know where I would be without them.
