Position: Finish Gimp A.K.A. The Guy Who Always Gets Hurt

Time at Moots: 1 year

I was born in Steamboat Springs when Moots still made steel frames.  Unfortunately, circumstances meant I was raised on the South-West Side of Cleveland, Ohio.  Despite this, I began riding road bikes when I was in my teens and messing around on a mountain bike soon after.  During high school my interest in manufacturing and design took off and combined with my interest in cycling lead me on a path to engineering.

After high school I attended the Colorado School of Mines and participated in some racing along with competing in swimming and diving with a side of snow sports.

After obtaining a degree, I returned to Steamboat to spend some time with family and try my hand at being a ski and bike bum… I couldn’t have guessed that I would get the opportunity to work at Moots.

Outside of cycling and Moots, I enjoy reading, skiing and snowboarding, springboard and cliff diving, spending time with my family and all that fun stuff.  I guess that some combination of those interests would make for my perfect day, but I’d be just as happy to go for a relaxed mountain bike ride with friends followed by a good meal.

If he wakes up early enough, he reads CyclingNews and BikeRadar’s bikes, tech, gear and race updates on his computer while munching down on said bagel, a banana and slamming some OJ and water.  Then, he leaves me sitting out all day to cool down.”
