MATT MONTROSS

Resides in: Waterbury, Vermont

Riding and race history: After ten years on the same competitive rung Matt decided to step it up and make the push to turn pro before his 35th birthday.  Other than some success as a fourth grade spelling bee champion he hasn’t really ever won anything so his efforts have been to improve slowly and steadily.  He still has a ways to go, but last season he took a big step forward and is very motivated for 2013.

Upcoming goals/race plans:

- Wildcat Epic, May 11
- Six Hours of Pat’s Peak, June 8
- Ryan Hawks Memorial Eastern Cup, July 2x
- Dark Horse 40, July 2x
- Hampshire 100, August 18
- Landmine Classic Marathon, September 8

When not riding: Matt keeps a pretty active blog, pro-35.com http://us.mg4.mail.yahoo.com/neo/pro-35.com and posts frequent race reports, ride reports, product reviews and a lot of Moots-centric content.  He is also involved on RaceSpace.org http://us.mg4.mail.yahoo.com/neo/RaceSpace.org and is an Assistant Editor at Mountain Bike Vermont, MTBVT.com http://us.mg4.mail.yahoo.com/neo/MTBVT.com.
