MemberThings are bad for those living just west of Fort Collins, that fire is well over 100 miles away from Steamboat. The dry winter and massive standing dead beatlekill have left the whole state in an dangerous position, no telling when it could hit anyo other place in the state, and it's not really summer yet. Cross your fingers for rain.

MemberVery sad to see! With all the beatle killed trees the whole state will eventually go up in flames. USFS says it's a direct result of global warming. CO winter's are not cold enough anymore to kill off the bug which they say has been arond for 100's of years. The warm winters have not.
