Can someone shed some light on where Moots is going with their updated road forks? Went to place an order for a 54 RSL with the Moots painted alphaQ at the shop but was told that fork is no longer available and a new fork would be available in Jan/Feb 2011. On one forum someone posted the new forks were Edge/Enve but another person said no, they were OEM'd in house. So my options now are to wait, order the frame and go with an Edge fork (guess at the recommended rake), or buy something else. Thanks for any info.

Our fork situation is this:
Alpha Q closed up shop in late 2009. We received a large order from them and were able to pair frame and forks together for most of the season. During that time we have designed, tested and are now coming out with our own forks. There is a lag time between running out of forks and having the new Moots forks in hand. We will be receiving a small run of the new forks mid-January in the 45mm rake. From there it will be 75 days to a full run of rakes and models to be completely in stock from there on out. If you want to order and receive the RSL sooner you can, but will have to use another brand fork. Edge/Enve is a good choice and no need to guess at the rake...the 54cm RSL would take a 45mm Edge/Enve fork just fine.
We are sorry or the gap in fork availability, but feel this will prevent us being without forks in the future.

Opps...forgot that part, yes forks will be painted just as the Alpha Q was.
