My seatpost keeps slipping down the seatube on my rigormootis. Little by little, whenever I stop to check it I see it has sinked a little bit.Maybe 1 mm each 10km or so...It´s a 27.2 moots layback seatpost.
I have a salsa bolt type seatclamp there, and I´ve tightened so hard I´m afraid the bolt will snap. Really. I´m pretty sure that´s not normal.
I have a couple ideas:
1-The salsa clamp slot is facing forward, as it is the frame tube slot. But the inner aluminium insert is actually facing backwards (not in line with the frame slot), might that be the problem? Is that something I can fix myself? (turn around the alum insert, assuming that´s the problem)
2-Also, I had put some thin grease layer in there when I fitted it. Is that the culprit?
Hope you can help, its really annoying!
