I have a 55 cm (aprox) Vamoots. I am thinking about buying some 25c tires to replace my Vittorias. Will my frame clearance accomodate a bit fatter tire?

Yes, your Vamoots will handle a 25c tire and depending on tire maker up to a 28c tire in some situations.Jon@Moots

If anything, the photos make the clearance appear smaller than it was. Clearance was not a problem. There was less clearance with the front tire than the rear tire, and that was with current "Moots Road Fork." So depending on your fork, your results may be different.
I have a nearly identical set of wheels to those shown in the photos with 700x23c Continental Grand Prix 4000s. I can say that the ride with the 700x28c is noticeably smoother. The 700x28c Continental Grand Prix 4-season tires have been pretty durable, and handle bad pavement and dirt roads well. I'm not sure the results would be as dramatic just going up to 700x25c.
