Anyone know which level "scothbright" I can use to clean-up the bottom half of the current seatpost? Basically I have really light surface scratches (above the "non-finished" area) on the bottom half of the post but just enough to be seen when installed.

    Any help would be great.

    Thanks,

I use a wire wool scouring pad (do you have Brillo pads in the US?).

I don't know the 'level' in the Scotch Brite hierarchy, but use the green color.

    ROO,
Not sure of the exact model number we are using at Moots, as I'm on the road at the moment.

....ours is a red color....but anything labeled Scotch Brite will work.

    Thanks,

    Hi,

I won't recommend you any scotch brits.
You will get the result you want if you buy some sand papers. There is different grades of them, buy some 800 or 1000 to start and you can go as far of 3000 (miror like). Visit your local car body repair they have some, their first tool may be.
