Please, check this links...Enjoy it!
That is a classy build...nice.
Man... nothing says class more than a Blue CK headset, love it!
Btw, I was digging those bar-ends, they reminded me of my old onzas (anybody remember those?).
Are they Eastons and are they carbon fiber? They look comfortable.
Thanks for sharing,
mootini...I like it. Thanks for sharing the pics. By the way, how do you like your Industry Nine wheelset? I looked at the Enve's but couldn't stomach the price. I'm eagerly awaiting my I9's laced to Stan's Crest rims.
Here's a pic of it from speedboat. I was able to ride it for two weeks before having to box it back up for its' trip Japan for the next two years.
ps... speedgoat sent me another tire to replace the front tire with the red line.
Thanks for the kind remarks! IMO nothing beats a King headset - any color! D - the bar ends are LP Braid Jr's, and yes they are carbon. I am a little old, and old school, and have always run bar ends, just like the optional hand positioning and leverage for climbing. I think they are still available, they are comfortable and pretty compact. Funny - I still have like three or four sets of Onza pedals in my pile of parts! N - I do like the I-9 wheelset, the hubs are solid and spin great. I got into carbon wheels a few years back via my cross bike and loved the stiffness. Really, really like the XC Enve wheels on the Gristle and of course, the King hubs speak for themselves. I'm close to pulling the trigger on a Mooto X RSL and will for sure put Enve wheels on it if it comes to pass. FWIW, I really like Schwalbe tires, I used to run WTB tires all the time but I found recently that the quality is not the same as it used to be.
I am going to play that game but not all at once ...
I love Moots too much ... posting one each month will keep me busy for ... a year ;-) sorry.
thank you so much
and by the way you are all welcome here in this tiny antiquated place named France. ( and keep your dollars, much safer these days).
PS: all my non Moots bikes are now gone. Only a Deluxe Ti left and will.
Here's my Mooto-X YBB during an early spring ride outside NYC. This was from early March and it was 70 degrees!
here's my lineup...
Moots Compact, Custom Mootour, and 26" YBB.
Beautiful bikes. The Mooto X YBB is a specimen. Nice photos. The bulldog's great too. Lots of attitude!
The Divides are shipping out over the next month or so, depending on when ordered. Oldest orders shipping first.
Last September !!!!
I might be a lucky one.
Bike Rumor reports some design change and a 12mm rear axle
Is that true ? (I will just have time to source parts to transform my hubs and I have a customer asking what are the option here)
PS: I have 2 on order for my own little person, Fox has announced new shox for 2013, could I have one delayed to have on one of them the new 2013 shox ? thank you or you can dispatch me the frame w/o shox and the shox later.
Here is my Psychlo-X,
I love this bike. I just does everything well
How about this bad boy. Worth way more than the poxy Honda behind it !
Here is mine:
King Headset and BB
Sorry, can't figure out how to direct post pics...Link on the bottom
Mix of SRAM Force, Shifters and Derailleurs.
Red Black Crank,
Older set of Mavics(normally use my rear PT wheel),
Moots Stem and Seatpost
Been enjoying this ride for the past 7 months .... continues to put a smile on my face every time I hop in the saddle.
This is my custom with the same geo and tubes as the RSL. I won my class and finished second in the overall (all the age groups, geared). I was over 5 minutes faster on this bike than my geared squish, go figure.
Oh, and I finished 1st in the bug catching class
This is my YBB set up as a fixie road trainer when the single track is too muddy to ride/train on.
I've neaver rode a geared Moots road machine, but let me tell you, this is a blast to ride and train on. Nothing beats a fixie and 3000 ft of climbing for a full body workout.
The change over takes only minutes with the ease of the sliders and specific chain.
I can't wait to set it up for the SS cross racing class in the fall.
I've got a similar build. Love the Mooto X RSL and the Enve finish it off perfectly. Great bike...
