Cool story about the vintage collection at First Flight Bicycles. The pic's have an '83 and a '90 Moots' . The '83 looks ready for adventure with 4 bottles, the portage pad and adjustable Moots mounts for the canti studs.
Anyone been to this shop and seen these in person?
Now I have another reason to goto N.C.

"Pairie Prince on Power Percussion" is how he's known on the record labels. He's an artist as well as a hell of a drummer and plays for The Tubes - the best band (with recreational drugs) of all time. Painted Bob Weir's Gary Fisher on bike number 3 or 4 in that slide show.
As irrevalant as it may be, I wouldn't mind that tidbit on my resume' or that bike in my collection. Mountain bikes have come a long way.

That shop has some beautiful bikes and some really cool stuff from back in the day. Much of the bike history is familiar to me, having worked in bike shops in the late 80's and early 90's. I can't wait to go back when I have more time to look around. Last time I got there just before closing time. Jeff and Wes kept the doors open for me and had a couple of beverages while I looked around, but I didn't want to overstay my welcome. Don't miss it if you are in the area.
