Hi all,
I just installed a SRAM Red PF30 BB on my new Vamoots RSL. Since the sheel is 68mm, I am using the metal spacers. I also have one plastic spacer on the non-drive side. When I tighten the bolt to the torque spec, I can barely turn my crankset. Do I need more plastic spacers? Has anyone else installed this same BB and can share what I might be missing here? Thanks all!

The only metal spacers you should be using are the thin units that say PressFit30 on them...(one on each side)....plus on wavy washer on non-drive side. Use the plastic washers on non-drive to take up any lateral play you might have... The other black spacers that come with the bb are for a mountain bike set up. Any time....To your credit tho, I find the Sram directions confusing at times....only my time and experience with the system have let me fully understand what's, what. Sometimes that is the best way...dig in...get dirty and learn first hand.Thanks for posting!

I agree that Sram's written instructions are a bit confusing, but it you want to "see" the instructions with your eyes, check out their YouTube page...

I've used their videos many times to rebuild RS Revelation, bleed Avid brakes, etc. with much success.
