   My new Brooks Swallow was delivered today.

   Ant tips from the gang; nose up/down/level? Should I do any special break in, do I proof hide right away? Anything else that might be relevant.

   I have held Brooks saddles before and thought they are crazy heavy; but the Swallows with Ti rails seems right in the mix for saddle weights.

   Proof, proof, proof, and proof. Think of it like an old baseball mitt that you lathered up with neatsfoot oil. The more proof the more supple the leather and more waterproof BTW. Your butt will be happy.

   I have a swift and set it just slightly nose up, nothing crazy.. Forget the weight, you cant pedal a 10 pound bike when your ass hurts.. Worth toating every extra gram when you're 75 miles into that Century..

   Well the Brooks has been mounted and had its maiden voyage. I had to make two adjustments to the tilt with the Moots Classic Post I had to go two clicks up. The saddle felt the same as the Fizik Alainte I have been using, so once the Brooks breaks in it should be better. The one thing I didn't like, when I got to around 95-100 rpm the saddle started to bounce. I guess I need to work on my technique some. It also looks great, I would post some photos but I don't know how to do it.
