Any issues with this combination? Frame is on the way and I need to order my group. Just checking to make sure that the XTR 2x10 group will work with the Mooto-X YBB.

cincytri,
The Shimano 2 x 10 fits in the 26 x 38 ring combo....which is the gearing you want for the 29er.
Let me know if you have any other questions.
thanks,
Jon@Moots
Thanks Jon. While I'm at it, which cassette would you recommend with that crankset combo?
Also, the BB is 68mm, the seatpost is 27.2 and the front der is 35mm correct?
XTR 11-36 is what I run with that combo, works well... Yes on all three 68,27.2,35mm..
@egordon
What year is your MootoX YBB? I think that I am just now finding out that I will, in fact, have trouble with my new, pre-2010 change Mooto-X YBB and the Shimano 2x10 XTR group that I have ordered. I did order the 26x38 crankset as recommended above and it now appears that it won't work? How is a guy supposed to win?
Not sure about the new cranks, but why not run 970 XTR as a double and use the 10 speed chain, shifters, der, etc?

I have a mid 09 before the narrower chain stays.. To run 2x10 XTR you have to use a Shimano Saint BB it has deeper cups and run all three spacers on the drive side.. Ran it and raced it with no issues..
Can you think of a double crankset that will work with XTR 2x10 on a 2010 MootoX YBB? I basically have all of the parts at the shop or on their way. Swapping out the crankset would be the easiest solution. If nothing else will work, then I either return the frame or an entire XTR double group. I already have the King BB. I think I am screwed no matter what I do...
cincytri,
How about an FSA 2 x crank set?
One of our guys here at Moots ran one all of last season with no troubles....
Jon@Moots
How about a Rotor crankset? Would that work?
