as it is not in the standard lineup i assume there is some geometry problem. but if i insist, is it possible at all? whats the compromise?

It is not in the stock geometry chart, but we can do it as a custom....however, the seat tube has to be a minimum of 19.5'' (center of bb to top of seat collar) in order to make the Ybb system work smoothly and make the geometry work out. We can pair that with the top tube length of the 17'' Mooto X hardtail. The frame will also have the "strut" to support the seat tube to top tube junction in order to have reasonable stand over height.For the ride of the frame, there is no compromise...the Ybb with 29 inch wheels is magical....to me anyway.

MemberThanks for letting me know. Now, if I add ss coupler to this custom 29er ybb, how would that change the ride quality? What would be the weight penalty?
My height is 175cm (that is almost 5ft 10inches). As a rough first guess, would you recommend me this custom 17" 29er ybb over my current 17" 26 wheel ybb?

The S & S couplers will not compromise the ride quality. Some even say it "feels" stiffer. Weight penalty runs 8 oz....half a pound. At 5' 10'' off hand I'd put you on the 18'' size. But you should consider your current set up....tt lenght/ stem lenght and have a proper fit done before taking the final step.Let me know if you have any other questioins.
