I have been accused (unjustly!) by my wife and friends of being a bike ho. The longest I have ever owned a bike is now 4 years and counting...my MootoX YBB.
I had made a committment to get in better shape this year and do a few races, both road and mountain. Yesterday was the first on the calendar. 6 hour solo mountain bike event. Muddy, messy, tough....and a lot of fun. Bike performed flawlessly (as expected), including an unplanned sudden dismount. Ah, the beauty of well made ti. Hit a tree going through a rock garden and fell about 20 feet down a hill. Broke a shifter, got up and rode another 2 hours. No worries about a cracked frame. Not scared to keep riding and wonder if it will fall apart. It just keeps whispering to me..."is that all you got?....come on.....faster...faster"
