Maybe I should shave my pits, that's gotta be at least a few grams right there!

Pokey, I like your approach best. I wasn't even considering shaving, but I could wear some really fuzzy socks, or wrap my legs in early-60's shag (orange!) carpeting to test the difference. Maybe I'll just search out the actual numbers on aero frames. I don't really believe the advantages are that noticeable compared with aero bars, or even missing a few meals. Especially for someone who does not-particularly-fast double centuries with lots of climbing on roads that are far too convoluted to descend all that fast. This sweet handling moots (with new wheels!) is really perfect.

Double centuries... damn Dave, that's hard core! Who cares if you're not going fast, the mere fact that you can do a 200 mile ride has earned my respect. Tell us more about your new wheelset.

My advice for road rash... keep a supply of Johnson & Johnson Tough Pads hydrocolloid bandages. I find in most cases, if I use those, 1. it's more comfortable. 2. rash is completely healed in 5-7 days. 3. little, if any scarring.
