   At this time we have no plans to bring back the PM feature of the forum. But, that does not mean we won't talk about it and see what is involved from a programing stand point.

   I'll keep you "posted"....

   Thanks as always Jon. Maybe I'm just a lone voice who misses it. I'm sure others will chime in if interest level is there or maybe you can post a poll question. Wouldn't want you to expend any effort if it doesn't bring value to the masses.

   The private messaging is both good & bad I think. Personally I'm all for it, if its doable .... here's some thoughts off the top of my head.

   Pro's
   --------
   Enables exchange of private details, eg. contact phone numbers, email addresses
   Enables discussions of personal nature - family matters etc.
   Co-ordinating ride hook-ups

   Con's
   --------
   Could be abused for targeted harassment
   May take up server "space"
   May detract from more open discussions
   Security & logins would become more important

   The "Gallery" will not let me post a pic, and tell a story about the pic. Such as "here's a shot of my Moots at the top of ___ climb" etc. Pic's of Moots' out in the elements and a small story behind the shot would bring more user content to this site and allow all of us to see where/how you are riding your Moots. I can tell you all day long how great the views were on my last ride, but my language skills can't express to you the beauty of the sunset, or the gnarly trail I just rode.

   PMing already exists, it's called E-Mail.

    Just some other throughts, there is a Moots facebook page, and a Moots forumn on MTBR.

    Sure, its not the same without the direct connection to the mothership, but there are other outlets to share that kinda thing.

    When you submit your photos to the Moots Gallery you can include all the ride info etc with them. The info gets posted right along with the photo. We went this way to cut down on the "spam" style photos.

    Just so you know.
