Hey TF,
don't know if you have seen it, but there is a large snow bike on ebay for you.

heh... how can you miss it?
UGLY!! :-)
D.
(oh boy... here it comes...)
Who was it who bought the one that came up for sale a year or so ago? Is this the same one or a different one?
I think it's pretty smokin', myself. If I lived somewhere where the snow lasted for months, I would be all over it.
I think that was xjahx, but not 100% sure on that. I believe this is a different one.
Who just got this one? anyone, anyone?
Woody
Gad... like Jah needs another bike! :-)
I wonder if he's still building wheels.
Looks like this one went for a much better price. Didn't the one last year sell for around $1500 as a buy it now?
Welcome back ECR...
Now that you bring that up I kinda remember that as well. A real steal of a deal.
Woody
Thanks Woody. Been a while-life happens. Got the CX bug, and have been racing a bunch the last 18 months. Up to 4 Mootses now!
Hey now, Domestique. >: ) Yes, I am still building wheels (1297 sets to date), am now a silent partner in a shop, and have a full time day job (Emergency doc).
This was the one that I purchased 2 years ago for the $1500 Buy It Now on ebay:

I then sold her for a wee bit more ($2750 I think) one year later. I know that it is hard to believe, but I just purchased the above snow bike. What can I say? I am predictable.
She arrives today...right in the middle of a 20 inch storm!
20 inches of snow will be a good first ride.
Woody
She has arrived safely. I have 96mm of clearance betwixt the chainstays as well as the seatstays. Based on the rim, I may be able to squeeze a Salsa Larry in there. The width is not the problem; I believe that the chainstays are too short and that the Larry will strike the chainstay bridge and/or the seatstay bridge.
If I have no luck playing with different rims, it is off to Bilenky she does for a set of Paragon sliders to allow for moving the wheel back. They have added paragons to one of my IFs, and it turned out well.
