Just bought a new San Marco saddle but when I went to install it I realised that the diameter of the saddle rails are narrower than my previous Selle Italia.
Anyone have any simple fixes so that I can use it with my Moots post?
At the moment the bolts bottom out and I cannot get it tight enough to stop it from tilting.
Shim inside the head?
Any other ideas?

You need to make sure the rails are 7mm round. I was running a Max Flite and didn't measure the rails just eyeballed them and they looked to be round, but were not. They were a "tall oval" meaning when I measured them vertically it was 9mm and horizontal it was 7mm. The cinch post only works with 7mm round rails. Here is a previous thread that is worth reading.

Woody is correct. They must be 7mm round rails to work with the Cinch post. Not advisable to add a "shim" to the head...the tall oval will not work as you have found out.Jon@Moots

Obviously my subscription request did not work and I had not come back to check.
Woody and JonC are completely correct.
The M=Flite did have 9mm rails and as a result had deformed the clamp.
Got hold of a new clamp insert and all is AOK with the new saddle now.
