So after recently picking up a Mooto X YBB I was concerned about chain suck damage occurring to the chain stay. My 26-inch YBB had some chain suck damage over the years of use that I wanted to avoid having happen on my Mooto X YBB. I do know the best way to avoid chain suck is to have a properly setup and maintained drive train, but that is hard to do in the middle of long races. I had an old YBB slider from my 26-inch YBB so I decided to create a Ti plate to protect the frame.
After a little cutting, torch work and grinding I had a plate that fit over the chain stay area. A little 3M automotive flexible adhesive to mount the plate and here are the results...a titanium plate that is sacrificed if chain suck occurs.
