Start for the race is 8am, I may need a jacket for the ride to the start. Got a 6+ hour ride in today (60 miles and 9,800 feet of climbing). The lunch ride (with brutal intervals) was excellent. When it gets warm (over 100) I have to remember to ride the road bike so I have some apparent wind. On hot mountain bike days I can't keep up with the water loss on the climbs. I've measured a six pound water deficit in less than two hours.
