uintamoots,
It is not an option on the full ti bike other than a slider drop out. SBSbiker can go to the 142 x 12 by replacing his slider dropout inserts.

We showed a full ti bike at NAHBS (North American Handmade Bicycle Show) in late feb...that won't be an option until 2013...if then.

Thanks,

Hi Jon,
SBS mentioned that you thought 142 X 12 rear axle might help stiffen up the rear of the YBB. I am in the process of ordering a Mooto-X YBB and was wondering if that is an option? What are your thoughts?

Yes, ...All MX Divides and Divides will come with a 142 x 12 rear axle set up. The 142 x 12 is super solid...it really ties the back end of the bike together. The axle is easy to use and comes with each frame as new.

We do have the option of a standard QR set up since the drop outs on the Divides are a modular system. To go the route of the QR will cost extra if you choose to go that way....

Let me know if you have any other questions.

Thanks,

I have entertained the idea of going to the same setup on my Gristle, I've got the sliders, and can retrofit the system with a changeout of the sliders. Jonc thought the 12mm on the ybb might help stiffen up the rear end, and possibly make for better power transfer. I would love to give it a try, but the demo fleet of Divides never seems to stay long in Steamboat

Under features of the MX Divide and the 26" Divide it says it comes with a 12 mm rear axle.

"142 x 12mm-Rear axle standard makes thru-axles as quick and easy to use as a quick release system, stiff & solid."

Should be an awesome machine - enjoy it.

Hello

Bike Rumors reports that the Divide will have a 12 mm rear axle diameter.
Is that the truth ?

thank you
