I called Avid and get the info sent to me for the reccommended mounting but decided to use the new TRP Croos brake instead. Far superior stopping power; real easy set up and alignment, no dinking around with set up to get rid of the squealing, more bling, and less expensive. The only down side I saw was less clearance. If you ride in extreme mud this may be an issue. There are two industry standards out there at the moment. Sram/Avid is finding out that the Shorty Ultimate is not working well on the shorter version. At this time we are only specin' the 21mm.
