I'm more than willing to act as go-between if you like - PM me.

I'm sure others would ship internationally though - tried Wiggle or chainreactioncycles

FINALLY had her built up and picked her up from the LBS this afternoon...BUT (and that's a big but). got to go away with family this weekend so can't even get out for a test ride until next week, aaaarrrrggghhh.....

Jon,
As you expected, Parker will not ship to the US.
Any other places to buy from over there that might work out better for us over the pond?

Jon,
Good luck with your new build. I am looking forward learning about your impression after riding the RSL.
Thank you for the update on the 68x46 cups.

They've been out here in the UK for a couple of weeks - got a set on my desk right now and taking my RSL to my LBS this week to get built up with SR (enough acronyms in that sentence ?)

Check out parker international for example and drop me a line if you need help getting them shipped across

I would wait for the cups, rather than try a home-grown modification. What you describe sounds like it might be the bearings, not the cranks. A friend of mine (and excellent mechanic) installed a SiSL crank with standard SRAM/Truvativ bearings, and the crank barely spins. I opted for the ceramic bearings, which spin better—probably about as good as Campagnolo's steel bearings (for UT, but not as good as square-taper).

Still waiting on 68x46 cups from campy for my RSL, and have returned the 68x42mm cups. My Hologram SL is a little tight feeling, like it is hanging up or rubbing, but not making any noise. I'm still waiting to replace it with my Campag crank. My LBS wants to convert the BB30 with an Al sleeve. I'm thinking that it is best to wait for the Campag cups.

Jon,

Not sure if the 46mm adapters are available yet, but I'd be curious how you think they will work given the metal-to-metal contact (which you found to be problematic in the standard BB30 format)?

To the OP,

After weighing the various options for Campy, I ended up getting a Cannondale Hollowgram SiSL crank. If you run a standard crank, you can get a 135mm spider that will accept Campy chainrings. A compact requires Campy-compatible rings because the compact spider will not accept Campy rings—there is not enough room for the chainring bolt behind the crankarm to be bolted in from behind. I have only been on a few rides with it, but I'm very impressed with the C'dale crank so far.

Thanks, Jon. I'll keep my eyes open for the availability of 68x46.
Will it cause any wear on the Ti bottom bracket tube itself to change out the cups?

Versawave~
Sorry to say that those will not work. They do however make ones that will work. They are the 68 x 46 adapter. The Press fit BB30 has an inside diameter of 46mm vs. the standard BB30 of 42mm.

As for the tool to use, I would go the route of using a standard head set press to push the cups into place. Be gentle and take care not to damage the edge of the cups.

Let me know if you have any other questions.

I just got them in the mail from Competitive Cyclist.
They are called Integrated BB cups 68x42. Ultra Torque BB30 Adapter. Will these cups work?
I understand that I will need a special $185 tool to install them.
Anyone else trying to switch out their Hollowgrams for campy cranks?
