Hmmm....

I run compact so can't say for sure that the 135 spider will work on PF30 using the EVO lockring. Hopefully someone can chime in who has tried it but I would expect Dr C to know.

If you're looking for a US dealer then try cannondaleexperts.com out of Utah.

With pricing, don't forget Dr C will not charge the 19% VAT if you are outside the EU.

Sorry I can't be of more assistance.

HillBilly(All)-

So I contacted Dr. Cannondale and they tell me that "no 135 spider" for the PF30 BB. My guess is that something is being lost in translation (literally). Just want to confirm that you (or other) have gotten this to work? Any USA sorces for the cranksets?

Thanks,

Roo

If your 11 spd rings are 53/39 t then they will be a standard campy 135mm BCD.

You will not be able to use you Campy chainring bolts because one of them bolts to the backside of the crank arm. You could use 4 of the 5 campy bolts but you will need one other bolt...you can use 5 bolts from a shimano or sram crank or any aftermarket versions.

Thanks for the detailed information. Two last questions:

Any idea if the 135 spider has the "correct" spacing for 11 speed?
Can I use standard Campy chainring bolts?

Thanks, again.

Hi Roo

I have a Cannondale Si SL on my RSL running Campy SR 11 speed. Mine is currently running compact and I am using FSA rings. If you go 53/39 and want to use genuine Campy SR 11 rings then you can get (as -drv- said) a 135 spider to suit. They don't make a spider to suit genuine Campy 11 speed compact rings. For good info check out the Dr Cannondale (Germany) website - they sell all you need including 135 spider. I bought a complete crank from them with a Pf30 bb and it included all stuff needed. Be sure to specify EVO parts because the PF30 lockring is different to standard. Spindle is 104mm - standard road. The Cannondale EVO is PF30 not BB30. The "Cannondale" pf30 bb is actually made by SRAM but includes all correct Cannondale bits including wavy washer etc.

Enjoy!

ROO

You can buy Campy 135mm BCD spiders that will work for a 53/39 set up. Not sure about a Campy 110 (plus one 112.5)mm BCD, but this will really limit your chainring choice (I had to have one custom made for my cross bike). Many manufactures of aftermarket rings (think Praxis) make Campy 11spd compatible rings in 110 and 130mm BCDs....this is the route I'm going this time around. It gives you many more options for rings in the end (particularly if Shim and Sram go 11 spd...which isn't far fetched for the near future).

As for a PF30 BB Sram (truvativ) makes a solid version in steel or ceramic. Other options (like HSC) are out there as well.

best

Just ordered my RSL! Now the wait.....

I plan on using Super Record Campagnolo 11 speed with the Cannondale Si SL Hollowtech cranks and would like to know:

1. Does a spider exist that I can run real Campagnolo 11 speed rings? Size?
2. What do I need - spindle, washers, etc.?
3. Best Press Fit bottom bracket (PF30)?

Thanks, All.
