This could cause the steerer tube to bulge slightly, making it difficult to slide the spacers onto the steerer tube. My steerer tube is 1 1/8", however I have found I can not get the spacers on because they are too tight. I can get them onto top portion of steerer tube, but then they are stuck, I can not push/slide them down to sit near headset/head tube. I even tried some grease. Any advice on prep or tricks to try?
