diglloyd,

The tubes are more about aesthetics. I know I'm crazy, but I like the looks of a fatter tube.

Nice write up buy the way.

The MootoX YBB 29er is plenty stiff.

The non-stiff points are the YBB mechanism and the fork and especially the tires. I think it's a bit silly to worry about frame stiffnes given those factors.

Go with the MootoX RSL if you want instant response from the pedals.

I have both the 2011 Mooto X RSL 29er and the 2012 MootoX YBB 29er:

Mojo Man,

We can build you a MX Ybb with the larger tubes if you like. It would fall into the custom category as you note. Also, just to be clear, we do not use butted tubes in the MX RSL top & down tube. We are using a thinner wall that is not butted as those two tubes are suspect to denting from flying rocks and some crashing.

What dealer would you work with?

Thanks,

Jon,

If I want to become a Moots member I may be forced to go with custom sizing on the 29r 18" YBB.

Is it possible to use the new fatter, butted top and bottom tubes the RSL is using? I Like the looks of a fatter top and bottom tube as well as additional stiffness.

Thanks
