rokataje,

I have a new Moots fork for sale. The steerer has been cut but there are 29 cm left measuring from the top of the crown. The rake is 40. This fork has less than 5 mi on it. Asking $250.

I recently put a 43mm EDGE/ENVE 2.0 in my 57.5 Compact SL and I could not be happier.

CyclingJunkie,
Yes, we made a slight change to more grey, less silver color to better match the frames. As it is now we are to have RSL forks early April (very firm) and all other forks later in April (very firm).

I'll be taking photos and posting descriptions/tech bits as soon as we have them in stock in solid numbers.

Many thanks,

One more fork question for JonC:

Has Moots made a slight change to the silver color of the new forks?

The new Moots fork in this photo - http://forums.roadbikereview.com/showthread.php?t=242952 - looks to match the frame even better than the original RSL fork.

For comparison, here is an RSL Frame & fork - http://forums.roadbikereview.com/showthread.php?t=234015

All,
We are expecting our full road fork line by mid-spring. Road and RSL versions. We will have 40, 45 and 50mm rakes. Price for the road fork will be $395.00. Weight @330 grams, full carbon top to bottom. The RSL fork will only be sold with a frame set.

We are planning for a cross fork as well. We are looking at late summer for that one.

All the forks have been designed by us and are using a full carbon molding process by and industry leader in carbon.

Once we have delivery of all stock on the road forks we will do a full write up with photos for sure.

Thanks,

Yeah, and apparently those Enve CX forks are strong too. I talked with Jake @ Enve and asked him if the CX would be robust enough to support a 300 lb rider with a tall spacer stack riding off road and he's says no problem. I think his exact words were 'we build them burley'. Damn, that's good to know.

And now I am waiting for my PX.

Is it done yet? :-)

I thought the GS 30 only came in the 44mm rake. For the frames in the larger sizes with steeper hta's, the 40mm or 41mm rake is more commonly recommended, but as you can attest from riding yours the bike rides fine with a little more rake/less trail.

The Moots forks should be very cool. If you can't wait, an ENVE or Serotta fork in 40mm rake would be a great match.

From what I understand, Moots is only doing road forks—Jon, is that right. For cx, an ENVE fork is hard to beat.

rokataje,

I can't recall the rake of the GS30 off hand. I believe they made it in only one rake....44 or 41...not sure there.

We are in the process of having our own forks built....due date is mid-spring...these would match up perfectly with your Compact and Vamoots.

Thanks,

I have a 57.5 Compact that had an Alpha Q GS 30 fork. I moved this to my 58 Vamoots.
1) Was that OK to do ?
2) What is the rake on the GS 30?

I am a 200 lb / 6'0" rider.
What fork brand and rake would you recommend for:
3) My Compact
4) My Vamoots
