Steve,
Yes, if there is not too much big/heavy stuff on the frame it will work fine for those in-between-wash events.

Thanks,

Like Jon, I knock off the dirt w/ a dry towel, then clean/polish w/ Finish Line Showroom Spray. Note: I won the bottle at race. Once it is gone, I'm going w/ Pledge.

So Jon, you recommend using Pledge even as the cleaner, not just as a final step. Is that correct?

Steve,
Here's what I do....

Wipe down the bike with a dry cotton t shirt and knock off the larger bits of junk....then use pledge on a clean cotton t to hit the main tubes. Remember to spray the Pledge on the rag and not the bike.....you don't want wax on your rims/brakes.

Thanks,

I'll wipe mine down with a rag doused with a orange degreaser, it brings back the shine, and leaves it smelling good. It will not handle lots of dirt and dust, but works great for minor road grime.

I like Motorex Bike Clean myself, but my sense is that all of these bike-specific cleaners do a good job.I spray it on the parts of the frame that need it and wipe with a rag and voila. Also like their polish too, though as we all know Pledge works great for a sparkling presentation!

I'm looking for suggestions for cleaning my Vamoots in between overall washes. If I happen to get caught in a downpour and need to wash the entire bike, I'll just use some Dawn in a bucket and that works great. But I'm talking about times when it's dirty from road grime and splatter but I don't feel like dragging out the hose and bucket. I tried White Lightning Clean Streak on a rag which used to work great on my old bike, but ironically leaves streaks on my Vamoots. Then I have to use the Pledge to get rid of the streaks. I tried some old Pedros Bio-Cleaner (I know, it's very old) and that worked great, but they don't make it anymore. I called Pedros and they said something called Green Fizz is the replacement and they claim it is much better. Has anyone ever tried this stuff? I'm just looking for something simple to spray on a rag and wipe on and off wherever it may be dirty. Any suggestions? Or any opinions of this Green Fizz stuff?
Thanks.
