thx jon,

i see my feel was right...i will enjoy the light built compact(custom 56 cm frame sloped down to 51 cm with a 16cm HT) but will stick to my 2nd standart compactbuilt with wound ups for daily or ruffer roads.

anyway the new forks C.Fmoots 2012 fit the compactframe very well refreing look of the whole bike(radical style)

need to get the RSL stem and soon sent a pic of the new built for the gallery.

thx 4 the infos...

Pierre,
The best rule to follow on forks is regular inspections and then also immediate inspections if a crash occurs. So, I would do an inspection twice a year as normal and then after a crash or suspect pot hole hit. The forks tested out really well, but as always, high performance products need to be looked after.

Thanks for the support!

hi Jon,

i just built a brandnew compact 2009 with a 2012 moots road carb fork...i always used wound up in my several road and x bikes, but i now wanted a lighter overall built...

i am about 90kg 6.0" and like to hammer the bike sometimes and like fast downhills...must i change the forks frequently if a ride around 10000 km per year???i try to ride smooth and avoid potholes n stuff(most of the time)

can u give an estimation where u think i am on the secure side refering fork durability (330g)

thank for keeping the moots bikes going..best regrds

ps.ive ordered a rsl 125mm custom stem via rabbit..can u figure out when i could propably get it, for my new built i need it.
pierre
