Poor Fabian! He went in way too hot (who doesn't like watching Fabian motor a bike - he is a machine). Boonen flatting with 6 miles to go? aaggh. The peleton just waiting and waiting - and waiting too long. The complete nobody Columbian jumps the break and Vino is the only to go with? With all his detractors, that guy is ever aggressive - what a finish. Taylor Phinney misses a medal by inches and Duggan and Teejay are all over the television. I thought is was a tremendous event.</p> <p>I must say, and again, maybe it's just me - but does Paul Sherwin 'over state' absolutely and positively everything? (That's a pun). I've never heard someone over use words so much - I mean every corner has 'great risks', each climb, every sweeping downhill, any feed zone is absolutely this or positively that. Now cycling can certainly be a demanding and dangerous sport, but you would think these guys are playing 'chicken' at a busy train crossing.</p> <p>All-n-all, though, a hell of a race. </p>
