With the cross we want to keep the top tube reasonably level @ 2.6 degrees vs. 6.7 on the CR...plus keep in mind you will run a brake hanger under the stem which adds 10mm off the bat. So really the longer fork brings you to a more upright position, which is what you want on a cross bike. Not drastic, but better for dirt/trail/cyclocross style of terrain.</p> <p>Your measurements lead me to believe you would need a custom.
