DIVIDES–WHAT WE ARE RIDING
Our lead Welder Caleb Franklin has been putting his new build through the paces these days. Our local trails lend themselves to anything from cross country epics, 1 hour after work steam blowers and even some gravity fed ski-area-style terrain park sessions. With all of those styles of trails in mind Caleb built his new Divide to handle pretty much anything….the all around “day-in-the-life-bike”….So let’s get to the build shall we?
Caleb went with mostly a Shimano XT build on this for smooth operation and solid performance. He runs a bit bigger tire than a lightweight cross country set up for much better traction and trail variety.
120mm Tapered Fox with a 15mm QR….solid fun, no worries.
Keep it short….Answer stem & bar for control points.
A KIND SHOCK, dropper post handles the ups & downs.
Cable routing for the dropper post….clean…it’s how we do it. Fox RP23 Kashima rear shock.
Intergrated Lock-on-grip-dropper-post switch…..sweet.
Divides on the Divide….29” or 26” your choice….no judging.
